The Simple Way To Prepare The Perfect Green Tea

The difference between the Green Tea and the Black Tea is the preparation. Unlike the Black Tea, Green Tea does not undergo fermentation but is only brewed, thu retaining all its nutrients and vitamins. Brewing brings out the best in catechin which lowers the caffeine in green tea. It also enhances the taste and aroma which is not found in fermented drinks.

The best way to have your green tea is by brewing it. If your the green tea you brewed tastes a bit odd compared to the other great tasting green tea you've tried before, then the preparation is wrong. There is a special way of brewing the green tea.

This is a simple way to brew your healthy green tea.

 1. Use only soft mineral water or natural water. You can use the tap water if the bottled water is too expensive for you.
2.  Take the chlorine out. if your water has been chlorinated, leave the water standing in your pot for an hour or two before boiling the water.

3. The boiling time depends on the amount of water you have put. The more water, the longer it will take to boil the water. Once the water is already boiling, take off the lid and let it boil some more for a few more minutes.

4. The correct temperature for the boiling water would depend on the kind of tea you will be using. Read the instruction on the label of the green tea you have bought.

5. Steep the green tea leaves for 3-5 minutes. The longer it steeps, the higher the polyphenol level (the source of the anti oxidants in the green tea) which reduces the amount of caffeine in the tea. The shorter time you steep the tea, the polyphenols decreases which in turn increases the caffeine level.

What type of green tea leaves do you use?

Many say that using smaller tea leaves for brewing is better because of its fast infusion. Larger tea leaves takes a longer time to infuse. Thus, the loose green tea leaves are better than the tea bags. The loose tea leaves that float inside your cup, means the more polyphenols are incorporated in the drink.
